Making Connections TA has the following characteristics:
- Advances the site strategy and focuses on results
- Co-created and demand-driven, with a strong "menu" of options for people to consider

- Draws on field-based experience
Providing TA also can strategically reinforce key values of the initiative by:
- Keeping the concept of strengthening families at the center of the discussion
- Enhancing resident leadership and resident voices in decision making
- Helping people use data to make decisions
- Addressing issues of race, class, culture, and power
